From an ealier FB post...
"The most powerful thing I experienced in regards to Nelson Mandela was not a picture or word directly from him. It was images, taken in the 80's, of people ALL AROUND THE WORLD protesting for his freedom and to end apartheid. He was that important, then, that he - from a tiny cell - was able to galvanize people of all religions and colors and nationalities. I remember seeing a poster - a famous one that I cannot seem to find now - of people gathering in town centers around the world with fists in the air, banners, ANC colors... Free Mandela! I was inspired and intrigued. I was pretty young but I needed to know what all these people were gathered for. I soon learned it was because of someone named Nelson Mandela. Shortly after learning who he was, I fell in love and dreamed of being even a fraction of the human being he was."
